What up?

I'm finally over my cold so I figured I should step back into the land of the living. After last Saturday, in which I made stops at 7 stores, I decided that maybe you were all right. I should probably be taking it easy when I'm sick. My body is telling me to rest and slow down. So I did, on Sunday. I skipped church (so no Sunday sketches) and went back to bed. I had a terribly runny nose, fever and a headache. But I had already planned to have company for dinner so after my morning nap I got up, made lasagna, went to a church meeting at 3:00 and then came home and popped the lasagna in the oven. By then I was feeling much better and thoroughly enjoyed our company (my daughter-in-law and her family!) I very much love her and her family - they are a wonderful addition to our family tree.

Panda is on a new twice daily medication to prevent seizures. So far, so good! She loves getting a little chunk of hot dog with her Rx inside. She still hasn't figured out that I'm tricking her. Some dogs aren't that smart....just sweet and lovable. I try not to embarrass her anymore and hand the treat to her instead of making her catch it. Plus I don't want the other pig dogs to snatch her treat and eat her meds.

I've been working each evening on our Vacation Bible School wall decorations. The theme setting is Egypt and I'm planning to convert the ramps (long halls) in our church into an underground archeological dig where the kids will find hieroglyphs on the walls. I'll be exchanging all the light bulbs for black lights and the wall art is done mostly in fluorescent marker so it should glow and be fun to walk through. I'm hiding some "secret" code in the writings to give the kids something to hunt for. It is a scripture from the old testament "So God created Man in His own image."
I want to make at least 20 of these sheets, 18" x 24" newsprint, and so far I have 5 done! I've got a lot of work to do before Sunday! Here I go again, I better get crackin'! Some of these hieroglyphs are real and some can only be found here and in my imagination! In other words, I made a lot of it up.

Very cool PAK!

I'm glad your vet is able to prescribe some meds for Panda that will help.

What, no jewelry boxes made from popcicle sticks? No macaroni necklace? Must not be a "real" VBS.

Lucky kids!!!! :)
