Global Greetings received

Last week I posted all the global greetings postcards that I had sent out. I was planning to post the ones I received the next day, but then my book came in and I got distracted. These are the 9 postcards I received from around the world. This is a wonderful group of art from a great group of artist friends!

This sewn one comes from Lynn in CA. I like how she put the two maps together to show Anchorage not so far from Vacaville where she lives. This collage is from Mim in MA. Part of the plan was to write an inspiring or encouraging note on each postcard. I like how she incorporated my love of sketching.
This is a B & W collage from Suki in NH. It's a mix of different media - It makes me think of a lone birch tree - I love the starkness of it. It reminds me of the famous photographer, Ansel Adams.
This is from Marianne who lives in the Netherlands, but she mailed this from Hong Kong. How cool is that?
These fortune cookies are from LoLo in RI. Each of the fortunes is real from actual cookies - what a clever idea!
This mixed media is from Lisa in IN. I love the addition of a monkey riding a polar bear - kind of fitting for me don't you think?
This beauty if from Joss in London. It barely made it across the pond. The front had separated from the back just as I pulled it from my mailbox. Had that happened anywhere sooner, it would not have my address on it and would have been lost in a post office somewhere.
This picasso-like dog is from Cat in FL. She often paints crazy cats so I was surprised to get a crazy dog from her but she knows I have three of them so she went outside her norm a bit for me.

This beautiful sunflower is from Caroline in Malaysia. It is watercolor and gesso if I remember correctly. I think it's beautiful.

Thanks for taking a tour of my received artwork. I love exchanging art with others from all over the world. It makes it fun to open your mailbox everyday....will it be bills, junk mail, magazines....or art? Yay! It's art!
