Snow Machine Adventure Part 3

We took a 20-mile trip to get up on top of the west end of the Peter's Hills. We went to a place we call "The Big Rock."

Mt. McKinley from on top.

This is another view from on top. That's Yenlo Mountain in the distance (the closer mountain). We have another parcel of land over there but rarely get to it because you have to either fly in or snowmachine and it's a very long ride.

This is Tim on top of the Big Rock - he's the King of the Mountain!

Just past the Big Rock is a little valley where the boys like to play on the hillsides. Becky, Amy and I stay at the bottom and watch.

They ride up the sides of the hill and then turn when they can't go any higher. The goal is to see how high you can get.

You can see that at the top is an overhang of blown snow.

It's all fun and games until someone rolls his snowmachine and breaks the windshield off. He's agile enough to jump off and not get hurt. Usually.

Not to worry. It's easy to snap the windshield back on. Then it's 20 miles back to the cabin. It was a beautiful, windy, fun day.

...sounds like deja-vue. Did Travis or Tim twirl down?

Becky and Travis were just here. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun!

Oh yeah...I'm not supposed to tell you...but I may whistle better than you. And mind you, I don't whistle well!!

I can just imagine how much fun this is. When I was young we would take jeeps out to the strip mine hills and do the same thing. No snow though.
