I'm working on a watercolor of a dog right now. I sketched it out and did the first couple layers of paint while at the cabin last weekend. This is Sadie. She's a border collie rescue from the pound. My friend Cheryl adopted her almost 2 years ago. I've asked Cheryl for pics of the dog numerous times but every picture she brings to me is of a black & white blur flying through the air. This dog never sits still for pictures. So while Cheryl was on vacation, I went to the boarding kennel where she had Sadie boarded. I asked the owner if they'd let me take some pictures of Sadie and they allowed it. So now I have several to sketch from.
I hope to have this finished and framed over the weekend. Cheryl will be super surprised to get this on Monday.
ps Have I mentioned yet that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new scanner? Yes? Well I do!
