Winter blues

Winter in Alaska is dark and cold. I get up and go to work in the dark, I come home in the dark and at my house it is MINUS FIVE degrees today! My winter coat is still out in the shed. I want to hibernate. I don't want to go to work.

I'm struggling to get back into the swing of my real life. Did you know it was mid-60's in Norfolk, where I just was? And I had grandbabies to snuggle.

I know they are no substitute but you will just have to get those dogs up in your lap for a snuggle. Or better yet the Mr. tee hee... Just kidding there Mr. Or maybe not.

You must have to be a saint to live there in all that dark and cold. Good thing you have good memories to keep you warm.

Yucky rotten cold and dark. I don't blame you for being bummed.. On the bright side, Dec 21 is coming up real soon and you'll be getting some daylight back :)

close your eyes and click your heels three times and you just may be back in Norfolk.

If not, go out to the shed and get that coat (smile)

Love for a great day!

I still must say it, "Welcome Home". But how sad to leave such treasures behind. Your grandchildren are beautiful and I am glad you were able to have a good visit with them. You were in my neck of the woods. Virginia is my birth state.
