Today I had a hard time getting myself up and going but I did make it to church about 15 minutes late. Not to worry, they were still singing. Unfortunately, coming into church late left me with limited seating and not enough time to pick a strategic spot for sketching unsuspecting church goers. The usher was trying to get me seated quickly (of course, he doesn't know about my sketching plans!).
We had a substitute speaker today too. I was just thinking about pulling out the sketchbook and pencil when he said, "And now, let's close in prayer." Too late. No sketching today!
Here's one I did a couple weeks ago before I moved on to a more interesting person. The book holders on the backs of the pews are surprisingly harder to sketch than I thought they would be. Too many angles and curves. Oh well, it's just a sketch.
Here's another picture of that baby moose from yesterday. After my shower it had lightened up a bit and I was able to take a better picture of him.

he has such a goofy expression on his face! I love the wildlife in Alaska, but I know it's different if it's in your own back yard. That's how I felt once the mountain lions got too close in CA.
Please email me your snail mail address okay? I'd like to send you a couple of my cards. You have always been so supportive and complimentary!
That moose is sure cute.
I like your church sketch. That neighborhood bully better watch out. I hope it moves on before it destroys all the greenery and bird feeders.
I have really enjoyed your sunday sketches, but I can imagine some sunday's it just doesn't work like planned. Maybe you'll have better luck next sunday.
The moose is so funny looking!
Happy Monday Patty! Adorable moose. I wish I could sketch something..... anything ;-)
Can you sketch a butterfly? Sure you can. (smile)
Love and hugs!
Stay warm!
