The Lion King Broadway Show

I have had an extremely busy weekend that started with Friday. I'm short handed at work, but got a call Friday morning from my new receptionist who will start Monday. The city has placed someone with me from another department.

When he showed to meet me I was very surprized. I was expecting young female. I received older male. I'd guess he's in his early 40's. At first I was thinking not such good thoughts about the city and how they make decisions for me. But after talking with him and taking him on a short tour of the facility, I decided that he might work out just fine. He's very polite and professional and might receive a little more respect from the customers since he's a man.

I was behind in my work so I decided I need to work Saturday too. I put in 4 hours and then rushed home to change clothes, get my mom and head over to the Performing Arts Center to see The Lion King, the musical from Broadway. It was wonderful and well worth the $87 ticket. We had cheap seats and were up in the balcony but it was still plenty good. The costumes and music are amazing. If you ever get the chance to go see this show, do it. You won't be sorry.

I was most impressed with the woman who played Rafiki, the baboon. Her voice was absolutely perfect for the part. I've been humming Circle of Life all morning.

have heard this about the show, still not seen it, here in london tickets are about £80...eeek but i will go one day. i think it must be rather refreshing having a male instead of a female, and i am sure he will do well.

I'm sure your new guy will do fine.

I'd love to see the Lion King show. We were huge fans of the movie and have heard lots of great things about the broadway version.
You're lucky you got to see it.

As many of Musicals lovers I LOVE the Lion King! It is my favourite ever... Last year I’ve been in NY & I tried to get my ticket …guess what everything was sold out that show how great the show is. Anyhow I end up getting it from a site through Horizontickets.com. Next week I’m going to visit my sister and I just got some pretty good tix from the same place
