Logo

I've been working on a logo and package design for my sister who is starting a small home-based business. She will be selling goat milk soap. It's great stuff - I've used it and really like it.

She wants her logo to combine goats with flying, specifically an aerial maneuver called "chandelle". The maneuver is a U-turn combined with a gain in altitude. My sister recently moved to WI from Alaska and compares her move to that of the chandelle. She made an abrupt change from what she had been doing (working in the airline industry) to living a rural life. She has been making soap already and will be ready to sell bars this fall at craft bazaars with the intent to ultimately sell directly to boutiques and businesses like Inns/Bed and Breakfasts.

She specifically requested that the flying goat's wings be similar to something Leonardo da Vinci would have created.
Here's one of my attempts. I drew this goat from a picture of Maggie, the smaller of her two goats. The name of her business is Chandelle Farm Goat Milk Soap. See her blog here.
What do you think Kris? Do you like this one or the other one better?

I like the one that you sent on the brown box. This is not bad, just like the other one better. Maybe the moon and stars are distracting me! Also the long eyelashs and the smile on the goat.

a very quaint illo, it will certainly attract attention, sounds like very interesting soap too...

This is a very friendly goat. The soap sounds interesting.

The other one was more realistic looking. I'll post that later maybe. I like the wings on this one better.
