Logo 2

This is the first design I did for Kris and her Chandelle Farm goat soap adventure. It still needs work, it doesn't show up so good when minimized down to an inch or so. I like the wings better on the other goat I did yesterday. Since Kris likes this one better I'll have to re-do it with different wings. I find that when reduced in size it looks out of whack with the wings high above in a V-shape design; I think the logo should be more compact in design.

Even though she is my sister, it is still hard to read minds. The client (in this case my sister) communicates what they want to the artist (in this case me) and sometimes that is crystal clear and other times it doesn't jive at all. So there is always fine tuning to make sure that the artwork is what the client wants. I was thinking more "whimsical" and I think Kris is thinking more "country". This goat is definately more real-looking.
PS - My son and DIL just got back to Missouri after spending the summer doing an internship in Japan.

I think I like the logo you posted yesterday. This one is nice, but I favor yesterday's.

Of the two I like the other one more. That touch of whimsical really does it for me.

OK......I like the other one better. Seeing them side by side. I like the wings and legs on Logo 1
Maybe it was the moon and stars that threw me.

I am not crazy about the wings on this one. But the stars and moon on the other one aren't up my alley either. :(((

Okay - so no moon and stars. I didn't say you had to have them, it was just a suggestion. Part of that "whimsy" thing. I'll fix the goats head so it's less cartoony and just make her normal.

Heh. I'm in the minority - I like this one better :) The other one seems like a logo for a kids' line of soap (that's not a negative comment - just what it reminded me of).
