Cactus Monday

Happy Cactus Monday - another sketch of my cactus in a pot. That's two down, I've still got one to go - that one will be hard because the third is all covered with some kind of furry stringy stuff.

Looks like you had fun sketching this one. The shape of that cactus reminds me of a chef's hat. Have a happy CM and a great whole rest of the week!

This is the sister that will bring you down to earth! It's OK. I think you can do better.

" No, Tim is just being nice and your being pushy! Give the poor guy a break!"

For you all, that was back in their dating years.

Gee thanks Aunt Krissy. Kind of harsh! But I agree - I didn't claim it was a work of art, I think I did use the term "sketch" which is a "quick" drawing. So there.

I really love quick pencil sketches--they get to the heartbeat of the object being drawn. Let you observe the ridges and valleys. The pebbles in the pot add to the story of this Cactus Monday post. Happy belated CM! Judy

What a great pencil drawing! You know I forget how much I enjoyed doing just a regular ol pencil drawing....I think I will do back to it for a while. Thanks for showing this and for doing such an inspirational job on it!!!
