Back from the cabin

We arrived home from the cabin this evening admist pouring rain.
Saturday was beautiful. I took this picture from the front porch. Mt. McKinley and Mt. Foraker are just through those tall pines. If you go upstairs in the cabin you can just barely see the mountains peeking through the trees.
This is Sunday. It started raining at night; it sounds loud in the cabin under a tin roof. Then it rained all day, sometimes just sprinkling and sometimes pouring and it became very foggy. I'm glad we have a cabin where we can stay warm and dry and not care if it's raining outside.
Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day....just not here.

I just love your photos. I still have a little envy over all the beautiful sights that your privledged to. In my immediate area, all I have is the Washington Monument and the Nation's Capitol. Now that I type this, I bet lots of people would love to have my view. Funny isn't it....

Anyway, thanks again for posting your adventures, it takes me away from the crime and paperwork that covers most of my mornings!

Have a happy day

Both photos are nice and I can really feel the contrast of the weather changes. Yes, summer is almost over and I'm sure you are seeing that to in AK. I hope you had a relaxing time at the cabin.

Those pics are lovely. The rainy foggy one is beautiful, though I suppose not so much when you want to be outside.
