Memories

My sister recently asked me for a picture that I drew back when I was in high school. I pulled out my old sketch books and had a good time reminiscing. I've pulled a few sketches for you to see. I drew all of these in 1977 or 1978, way back when I was 16 and 17 and living on the sailboat. Can you guess what my favorite subject was? It's not hard!

I also went through a "zebra" phase. I wanted a horse so bad, but I never got one. My husband promises me that when we retire I can have a horse. Finally. But I'll be 60 years old - will I still want to ride a horse at that age? I'm hoping I will!

your zebras are quite phenomenal, mind you, so are your horses.

Wow Patty! I forgot that you were so good at drawing at a early age. I still can't draw a ball. Circle yes, ball, no.

Wow, I'm impressed. At age 16-17 you were sketching horses? Unbelievable Patty. The zebra has so much detail. I think it's great that you've kept your sketch books after all these years.

I can't wait to show these drawings to Rose. She will literally drool over them. She too is waiting for the day she will own her own horse.
