Tea Party

What a wonderful day! I love having a tea party; decorating the table, fixing the food (Alicia did all that!), visiting with friends, shopping at the Tea Shoppe, the fun of a live auction. Our entertainment was a video of an adorable little girl singing at the top of her lungs accompanied by a Christian Praise song. Then a group of children did signing along with another song. And then the Irish Dance club....wow, those girls were amazing. The smallest one looked to be about 5 years old and she could dance with the best of them.

Our table was decorated in blue and white - that's my tea set. I love it. There was another blue/white teapot that we used which was a gift from my mother-in-law when I went with her to a tea house in Missouri. I love that teapot too. I can get attached to things that bring back good memories.

This is my mom (on right) and her friend Mary. Our friend Angel, who also goes to our church was there but the picture I took isn't very good. That girl can really make me laugh hard.

This is Alicia and me. There were two pictures with both of us together...in one Alicia looked goofy and in one I looked goofier so I compromised by cropping our better pictures out. I love the crop tool! We ended up with 3 empty spots (I tried to reach you Janice - I left a message!) but still had a good time. Janice, I would have loved to see you!

I purchased this beautiful crocheted baby blanket for $5. Can you believe it? I also got the cloth prayer book for my granddaughter Emily. The Crisis Pregnancy Center is a worthy organization and I'm happy to be a part of supporting it's cause.

Will try to get by and see you before you leave. Just got internet back for the first time since March am suprised that a lot of the south only has limited dial up internet and of course I have drug my knuckles into the 21st and have no phone modem in my laptop. Just spent the last hour reading all of yours and Krissy's posts for two months....you two make me crackup I love you

Very fun.

Do I see some of your oragami creations on the table?

You sure got a deal on the B blanket; I'm sure there are quite a few hours put into that.

CL - yes I made origami tulips as table decorations. LL - yes, I brought two teapots and sets for the tea. I broke a tip off the lid of one of the teapots but glued it back on and looks good as new. I hope.

What a wonderful way to help with a Crisis Pregnancy Center fundraiser. It gives me some ideas to pass on since a good friend of mine is the director of such a nearby center. I too love tea parties of any kind, and formal ones are probably still my favorite.
You blue and white tea set is gorgeous.
Thank You for sharing this great event.
