Let's take a break from the snow. I'm sick of it. This morning it was minus 10 degrees at my friends house and 8 above at ours. It is so c-c-c-old, yet the sun is shining bright and it's still light out at 8:00 pm. I should be thankful (and I am) but I can't keep from thinking if the sun is going to be out, why is the air and ground so cold? Why is there still so much snow?! I guess I'm a bit of a complainer....just a bit. I'm sorry.

I'm sick today too. I went to work feeling a little tired. By 10:00 am I had a sore throat. It started hurting to swallow around lunch time. By 3:00 pm my throat was so raw I could barely swallow without wincing. I stole some lozenges from a co-worker and have been sucking on them the rest of the day. My throat is on fire and I'm openly grimacing everytime I swallow. Now I'm complaining again. Sorry.
Oh yeah, on my way home from work I stopped at the store to buy some cold medicine. I got carded because I was buying AlkaSeltzer Cold Medicine. That is the height of ridiculousness. I would have protested but I was feeling too sick. I could see it if I had loaded my cart up with 20 boxes and some meth making supplies, but come on, I'm a semi-old lady with snot dripping out my nose and my new box of Kleenex already opened because I was dripping and wiping it on my sleeve.

I have sketched a little over the past week. Not as much as I promised myself I would, but more than I was doing before I bought my sketchbook. So that's a small victory.
I call these semi-masterpieces "Empty pepsi bottle" and "Christmas cup with pens". Not very original but truthful.

I like the pens. Did you just whip them out for this post? I know you work best under pressure! I dont see where you had time with going to the cabin and all. Or are those the pens I left at the cabin? I didn't think about that!

I did draw that at the cabin in the last hour or so while waiting for Tim and Rick to come back after hauling first load in. Patti and I were visiting and I decided to do one sketch.

Nice sketches! I wish I could do that. Well actually, I use to do that in art class in high school. Maybe some day I'll try it again when I don't have anything to do.

Nice sketches, I like the pens too. I send your stuff out yesterday, I was going to put a little note inside, but I forgot! So, hope you are happy with the crayons scarf and hat set.

CL - I so meant to send yours out today also because it's hard to get to the post office M-F, but I didn't. I've been curled on the couch watching Mulan, Beauty & the Beast, cooking shows, and drinking orange julius'. I just took a shower (it's 4:30 pm here). I'll try tomorrow.
