Get Along little doggies

Our cabin is 4 miles from the road in winter (the State only maintains the road to Kroto Creek). Normally we let our dogs run the entire way to the cabin and return and they get all tuckered out. This year though, we decided to put our oldest dog, MaryAnn, into a kennel and haul her in by sled so that she wouldn't have to run so far. She limps just walking from her dog bed to her food bowl, so a 4-mile run in the cold is getting to be out of the question.

We did this when taking the kids out, but then a day later when we took our friends Rick & Patti, we decided to give all the dogs a break so loaded Panda and MaryAnn together into the kennel and let Roxy ride with Tim.

Here are the happy little campers after being hauled in a sled for four miles.

And how hard was it to get them back into the kennels to go back to the truck on Sunday?

All the doggies look happy. Wow, 4 miles? That's a long way for dogs to run. Good that you gave them a break this time, especially MaryAnn

The nerve, laying there all pooped out as if they worked all week. I swear in my next life, I'm coming back as a German Shepherd.

You guys are having way toooooo much fun at the cabin. It's the first day of Spring on Friday and you're sledding and having hot chocolate. How crazy is it that I'm wishing I was there?

Love, peace and blessings!

They look so cute on either side of the stove. Do they enjoy the ride? Ginger would probably like it.

To all: The dogs actually did fairly well in the kennel. Panda went in willingly, Roxy went in and I had to pull her out, and Maryann had to be pushed. I rode behind them coming out and could watch them. They were just sitting, looking fairly unconcerned.

I am enjoying this scrapbook of your life tremendously! The deep snow, snowmobiles, cabins with johnny houses, dogs, family.....the list goes on.
