Sunday Drive

We missed church today because I awoke with a migraine, took some medication and went back to sleep until noon.

We decided to go for a nice Sunday drive since the weather was beautiful although cold. It was below zero when Tim got up but 10 degrees by the time we left the house. We headed East along Turnagain Arm and drove down to Indian. These pictures are taken right at the Indian cutoff.
The tide was going out. The ice is really jammed up along the mud flats.
This is a close up of one of the ice chunks. We are up on the road - I believe this chunk is as tall as me.
Now we are heading back to Anchorage. This is looking out on the mudflats just out from Potter's Marsh.

A close-up of some of those ice chunks. They are big - the camera doesn't do them justice.

I really like the photos! As for the headaches, I blame epidemic. Something in the air? :) I know of two other people on Sunday who were down for the count because of migraines.
