Alaskan colors

Over the past few days I've forced myself to see the subtle colors all around me. I often feel that winter is made up of varying shades of gray...but in reality, we have lots of blues, yellows and pinks. I took some pictures today while out shopping. Above is a beautiful sunset from Kincaid Park.

The mountains get a pink rosy glow at sunset - this picture is from Raspberry Road at Kulis Air National Guard.
And this is Sleeping Lady with that same pink glow.

I absolutely love the pink sunset pics. What a nice thing to see at the end of your day.

I remember when we lived in ST Thomas USVI and I drew a pic of a
mountain that was blue with a pinkish top. The teacher said that that was wrong that mountians are green!

I love the decriptive place names - Raspberry Road, and Sleeping Lady. They remind me of how Anne Shirley named things in Anne of Green Gables.

Great mountain pictures. Just gives you a breath of peace looking at them.

WOW - Absolutely breath taking! I've added your photos to my screen-saver-slide-show. We don't have images like that in the DC/MD area. If so, I've yet to capture one. I do have an amazing picture of a rainbow that will be a future post.....

I didn't see photography in you profile (smile) You've got skills girl!

Thanks for visiting me and thanks for the gorgeous view. I'll be back when I finish going over the weekend crime report ;-(

Have a great Sunday and please considering a book on photography, if you don't have one already!

Love, peace and blessings!

You live in a place of great wonder and beauty.

My husband too likes the insides of his cookie a tad raw, but in truth he will eat them in whatever form I make them. I usually try to make at least one pan in the way he prefers.
