Wrong Order

I had ordered from Current Catalog about 3 weeks ago. Today when I drove up to my house I saw two boxes sitting on the porch. Yippee! My order is here. So I carried the boxes inside (both were very light) and layed them on the couch to open. I opened one and inside was nothing that looked familiar, nothing that I had ordered. So I opened the next...it was my stuff. I looked back at the first box and checked the order form. It was for a Ramona in Massachusets. She's missing her order right now and wondering when it will get in. So I called Current (and was on hold for 25 minutes) and informed them of the error. They are sending me a "return label" and have asked me to ship it back as cheaply as possible. They made no mention of covering the return shipping cost. That seems odd, but I will wait until I receive the label, maybe it will say "postage paid"? I'm hoping. They also promised to resend Ramona's order to her so I'm glad about that. I hope they send it faster than mine came, because it is all Christmas stuff and I'm sure she wants it well before Christmas.

So that was my good deed for the day. I know there are people out there (not my readers of course!) who would just keep the order and not notify the shipper. My kindness stops at having to pay the shipping for their mistake though. I'll have to see how I handle that ethics crisis when and if it comes.

You did a very nice thing and went out of your way to phone the company. Honesty rules, woo hoo!!!!

Her stuff was mostly Christmas notepads and magnet notepads. Although there is some wrapping paper I was tempted to keep. I can use that.
