Snowmachining - Part 2

Current weather in Anchorage: C-c-c-c-cold! It is -12 degrees farenheit at my house this morning. My little car did not want to go out in the c-c-c-cold.

Tim enjoyed showing Adrian the art of riding snowmachines. We went to a large open area and Tim encouraged Adrian to see how tight they could make turns (figure 8's and such). As you can see, Tim is a great teacher. He is always willing to wallow around in the snow! He was off his machine more than he was on.
Adrian managed to stay upright. He did get off the machine and try to make a snowball to throw at Katie, but the snow was too dry to mold.
Tim. Covered in snow. He really enjoys getting out into the Alaskan wilderness. Nothing makes him happier than to be riding his machine, packing trails to the outhouse, exploring new trails through the woods, helping me get unstuck, etc. Tim has a little beard (ie; squirrel tail, soul patch, gravy strainer, goatee) that got frozen to his neck warmer. You can't see it here, but below his lower lip, he's frozen fast.

Katie and Adrian leave tomorrow night. Travis and Becky are here until 1/13. I hate work. Not really, but it's been so nice being off that I don't want to go back. I only have to work 2 days this week though - wed and Fri. Thursday is holiday.

Yeeeeeeha I love snowmachines!!! Maybe sometime in the future you all could come up north and do the Summit area and Adrian could get a taste of hill climbing and cornice jumping. On the side its -51 at my house this fine day. Found the cold spots and have been stuffing them. Had to actually turn up the heater to keep it at 72 in the house today. I hope that Emily liked her blanket. I am glad I came home when I did as it would have been nasty to come home to a frozen one...... Jeff made a box for Denali and is going to bury her in his pet cemetary this spring. I didn't realize how much he liked her too. And right now it is nice not to have to open the door just to let the dog out...am trying to find all the good things about losing my friend
