Snowmachining - Part 1

We took Katie and Adrian up to the cabin for a 1-day snow machine ride. Here they are getting all suited up. Adrian said "this is the coldest I've ever been!" as he was pulling on the snowpants. At one point they dropped a glove and both looked at each other before trying to bend down and pick it up. It's much harder to do when you are bundled up like the little brother from The Christmas Story.
We all had fun even though it was cold and windy. I forgot my snowpants so I was colder than everybody else. It was 10 degrees on the thermometer at the cabin but it was very windy, so Tim says it may have been below zero with the wind chill factor.
Here Adrian is learning the finer points of riding. He only got the machine slightly stuck once. Katie tipped hers over. Adrian did great for his first time out riding. He told Katie "this is more fun than the halibut trip!" which is saying something because he really enjoyed the halibut fishing trip we took last summer.

This is Katie and Adrian waving hello from in front of Mt. McKinley, the highest mountain in North America. Emily stayed at home with her Aunt Becky and Uncle Travis. She had a fun day too.
