Let it SNOW!

It's been a snowy weekend. We had "severe weather warnings" because we were expecting up to 10 inches of snow. We got 8 inches where we live. Hillside got more. I say let it SNOW! If it's going to be cold (and it is) then we might as well have lots of snow to make it look beautiful. It got down to 8 degrees last night and we plugged our cars in for the first time this year.

This is how much snow we have on the trailer since Tim last brushed it off.

This is the back of my car in the driveway. You can see that Tim has been having to shovel to keep it clear.

Tim is going up to the cabin on Wed and Thurs to haul in some more supplies and work on insulating the second floor of our (Krissy's old) cabin. He is really looking forward to it, because if we got 8 inches here, they probably got at least a foot out there. Or more.

It's dark now when I go to work, and dark when I come home so it may be awhile before I can post any daytime pictures. It's winter in Alaska and that is what happens. It gets dark! Here's some evening pictures around the house - it was 5:30 pm when I took these.
