Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig

Today I'm flying home to Alaska. I checked the flight load level last night on the computer at the library where Kris works. She is so fortunate to have a job at her favorite place in the world, the library. And her co-workers (I met all three) are wonderful and kind and put up with her.

My first chance to catch a flight home leaves MSP at 1:45pm although there are already 20 non-revs on the standby list. That makes me feel a little nervous, but the flight still has 7 seats open. With the no-show factor, I still have a decent chance of getting on. If I miss it, there is only one more flight out of MSP and it doesn't leave until 6:50pm. That flight has 23 seats open with only 11 stand-bys so it shouldn't be a problem. I'll get home very late, but at least I'll get home. If I miss the first, I plan to hop a bus to the Mall of America and see what all the hype is about.

If I catch all my flights I will be home at 6:53pm which will still allow a good night's sleep before going to work the next morning. If I don't catch flights as hoped, I will not be home until 10:46pm and I will be very tired and possibly cranky, yet happy to be home at last.

Wish me luck!

I caught all my flights and they weren't even full. I got one window seat and one aisle seat - that rarely happens. Usually I'm smack dab between two big bubba's.
