Autumn

I can hear geese outside this morning. Honk, honk, honk, honk as they fly overhead. They are packing their bags, grabbing the children and heading south.

Last weekend at the cabin I noticed the fireweed turning a beautiful red color - now you know why they call it fireweed. The blueberries were ready for picking too. We picked a quart size bag to send to Tim's folks in Missouri. (Still haven't sent them - bad girl!)

It's fall. I can't push it back any longer. It's here and there's nothing I can do about it, except accept it and move on. I really do love fall. I just love summer to last longer.

Wow - that brought back fond memories. Mom, dad, Pepe and Lady and I used to pick those blueberries at the lake. Little Pepe used to pick his own and eat them, silly dog! hahaha I remember coming home with gobs of them and then mom making them into pies. mmmmmmmm Uh oh - here come some tears....:o)
